Ordered a cab as trains would take 40 mins to get me home but 1st cab didn't turn up so in the end it took 45 mins to get home and cost nearly 20 quid as opposed to a fiver and I thought the trains were a lot of money for poor service. The driver that turned up was a nice chap and did a good job though.

Very friendly cab driver. Got me to my appointment in plenty of time. Speed of request phone call to pick up by taxi very fast too. Was essential as car had inadvertently broken down. Thank you!

Absolutely terrible we told the driver we were going to a wedding and therefore in a hurryHe managed to drive down a closed road necessitating a turn in the road and seemed to have no real idea how to get to the destination. On the other hand he drove so carefully and slowly we could only assume he'd passed his driving test the day before.

I recently had a very unpleasant experience with Brighton and Hove Radio Cabs. I called a taxi and when the driver arrived, he informed me that the company only accepted cash payments. As I did not have any cash on me, only a business payment card he said he would stop at a nearby cashpoint so I could withdraw the necessary amount. I found this quite odd as most taxi companies nowadays accept card payments.He then told me that he was not happy with the distance I was travelling and that he did not want to take me anymore. I was taken aback by his sudden change of heart and felt very uncomfortable. I had no choice but to get out to order another taxi. This was a huge inconvenience for me, especially as I was in a rush to get to my destination.To my surprise, as I was ordering a new taxi, the driver suddenly changed his mind again and told me that he would now accept card payments. I was extremely frustrated and annoyed by this point. I did not want to give my business to a company that treated its customers in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. When I arrived at my destination the driver also expected me to give him a tip. Unfortunately, you cannot type rude words into the payment terminal.I was disappointed by the driver's behaviour and felt like I was being taken advantage of. It is unacceptable for a taxi company to only accept cash payments and then change their mind halfway through. This not only caused inconvenience to me but also showed a lack of transparency and trustworthiness from the company's end.I hope that Brighton and Hove Radio Cabs will take the necessary steps to improve their payment methods and ensure that their drivers are trained to handle situations like this more professionally. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and given clear information about the payment methods before getting into the taxi.In conclusion, my experience with Brighton and Hove Radio Cabs was disappointing and I would not recommend their services to anyone. I urge the company to reconsider their payment policies and provide better training to their drivers to avoid similar incidents in the future. The male driver was also using a Zettle payment device he said was not his and did not like using it, the name on my statement shows Linda Smith.
